I'm looking at branding the area to tie it all together, this will feed into the paving, lighting and signage design. I think its important to give the area a strong identity which clearly sets it apart. To a lesser extent this has been done is China Town with the street lighting.
The area has a long history with fabric and furniture retail (manufacture?) I've starting looking at fabric patterns, this could be translated into paving design. The furniture element could be really interesting, been looking at public seating.
Just a few musings for now. Any thoughts?
